Last year Spencer took the pole position and finished a very close second in the Charlie Gibson 300 at VIR. This year's luck was not the same. Spencer and co driver Andy Lally were paired up in a Marcus Motorsports Factory Five Spec Racer for the three hour race but the day ended early when engine failure put the car out of the race at lap 5. Spencer and Andy send their thanks to the Marcus Motorsports crew for thier great efforts this past weekend. 2/23/2005  Lap 5, huh, well other that that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play? But, on the other hand, will ya look at this! SP posts a pic! And his faithful readers continue to comment, this is a good thing. 2/23/2005 Maybe the law of averages is catching up with you, & even the best drivers don't always get a good result.
