DOUBLE TPC PODIUM AT THE RAINSOAKED GLEN
LITTLECHILD AND PUMPELLY TAKE SGS CLASS WIN
BUNTING AND LALLY P2

No. 37 TPC Racing Porsche GT3 Cup co-drivers John Littlechild and Spencer Pumpelly claimed their first class victory of the season in the Sahlen’s 200 at The Glen, topping their class-points-leading teammates Marc Bunting and Andy Lally in the No. 38 TPC Racing Porsche GT3 Cup.

With the win, all three TPC Racing cars now have at least one SGS class victory this season. "This is terrific," Littlechild said. "This is the first win for the season. The (TPC Racing owner) Michael Levitas-prepared Porsches are just wonderfully-prepared cars. They run fantastic. There's been two TPC Porsches on the podium the entire year. We want to keep this going. This track has been fantastic for Spencer. Last time at the Sahlen's Six Hours, we finished second. It's been a lucky track for us."

"It feels great," Pumpelly said. "We needed a win for the No. 37 car. It was great job by everyone at TPC. The conditions were really difficult, but the strategy in the pits was great. All the guys made the difference." Bunting and Lally have now finished on the SGS podium in every race this season, and their second place run enabled them to stretch their points lead. Joe and Will Nonnamaker finished third in the No. 43 ORISON-Planet Earth Motorsports Porsche GT3 Cup. Wayne Nonnamaker, who won the SGS class in each of the last two races, finished sixth in the No. 42 ORISON-Planet Earth Motorsports Porsche GT3 Cup.

Greenberg/ Pumpelly Podium Finish at Mid-Ohio Rolex

Spencer has been, and still is quite busy this weekend, pulling double duty driving both the G&W GT3 RS for last night's Rolex and the Race Prep's Porsche 996 in today's Grand-Am Cup race.

This photo of of a smiling Spencer and teammate Mark Greenberg sharing the 2nd place podium and a cut and paste of Grand-Am's Race Report will have to suffice for the moment, as Spencer is currently on track in the Race Prep Porsche 996 he shares with Mike Pickett, and Michael Levitas.

Stay tuned for a full report on the weekend when SP phones, hopefully to report another podium, in today's Mid Ohio 250.

In the Rolex, Grand-Am reports:

No. 21 Prototype Technology Group BMW M3 driver Bill Auberlen established a new Rolex Sports Car Series record for consecutive victories in any class by earning his sixth straight GT triumph in the EMCO Gears Mid-Ohio Road Racing Classic. Auberlen started from the pole, and he and co-driver Justin Marks never relinquished the lead. They finished more than a lap ahead of the No. 77 G&W Motorsports Porsche GT3 RS of Spencer Pumpelly and Mark Greenburg.

"I think we've had more competition this weekend than we have had this year," Marks said. "Those No. 77 guys did a great job keeping it in contention. To be honest, we were worried about them. The PTG team knows how to win endurance races. The pit strategy was perfect, and we got lucky that the car was so fast. That's what got us to victory."

Chris Gleason, RJ Valentine and Ian James finished third in the No. 66 The Racer's Group Porsche GT3 RS. Auberlen's triumph coupled with a fourth-place class performance by Boris Said and Joey Hand in the No. 22 PTG BMW M3 gave Auberlen sole possession of the GT driver points lead.

Spencer Third in SGS for TPC Racing
Daytona's July 1 Paul Revere 250 Brings Another Double Podium

In the last round of the Grand Am Rolex Sportscar Series, Spencer Pumpelly and John Littlechild teamed up with Bill Adam for a second place finish in the six-hour race at Watkins Glen. The driving trio helped TPC Racing capture a 1-2 finish as the team car of Andy Lally and Mark Bunting won the race. This week’s race earned a second consecutive trip to the podium for the #37 TPC Racing Porsche.

The Paul Revere 250 from Daytona International Speedway is unusual in that the race is run during the NASCAR Nextel Cup event. Practice for the 250 began on Wednesday and the race itself started at the conclusion of Nextel Cup qualifying Thursday night.
